Kesroli Hill Fort
May 23, 2019If you’ve ever envisioned living in a 14th Century Fort, a trip to Kesroli Hill Fort for a much needed rest and relax weekend is the ultimate getaway. It is a short drive for those who are living in and around Delhi making it the perfect getaway for those long weekends or short holidays. If you have a weekend to spare, Kesroli Hill Fort is a great way to spend some vacation time away from the hustle and bustle of Delhi and get yourself recharged. It is also the perfect place to stay if you are planning a trip to Rajasthan and want to do halts in between other cities.

Kesroli Hill Fort located in Alwar is a 14th
century fort managed by the Neemrana Group. It is the oldest habitual heritage
site in India. Unlike their other properties like Neemrana Fort Palace and
Tijara Fort, Kesroli Hill Fort is far smaller and a more personalized property.
Their food spread is pretty tasty and has a very fresh taste to it. We enjoyed
our day sitting by the pool, eating and reading. This property doesn’t feel
crowded even when it is booked up, which to us was a bonus because it meant we
had a rather peaceful and quiet stay.
The best time to visit Kesroli Hill Fort would be in the warmer
seasons such as February onward before the cold sets in around October/November. Reason
being, I don’t see how you’d spend your time here without accessing the
gorgeous pool that they have. Winters and monsoon will leave you feeling slightly
bored with the lack of activities here.

There are a few places of attraction in Alwar that you can
choose to visit if you happen to be here for a few days. You can opt to go see
the Siliserh Lake (27km), Sariska Wildlife Sanctuary (50kms) and the Alwar Fort
(22km).
If you’re headed to Jaipur after your stay in Kesroli Hill
Fort and you aren’t faint hearted, you might want to add Bhangarh Fort to your
list of places to visit. You will only be able to access the area between 6am
to 6pm. Bhangarh Fort is listed as the most haunted place in India and is
located approximately 90 kilometers from Kesroli Hill Fort.
